Byron Bay

Byron Bay is paradise for many Australians and international visitors. It is surrounded by extraordinary natural beauty; beaches on one side and rainforest and rolling green hills on the other. Byron Bay attracts a rich mix of people from all over Australia and the world: surfers, musicians, healers, hippies and artists in search of the good life.

It is probably the coolest place in Australia. The climate is wonderful. The surfing is brilliant. Dolphins and whales are regular visitors. Life is relaxed. Byron Bay is famous for its arts, festivals, music, bars, cafes, restaurants and markets.

It’s one of our favourite places in Australia. If you want to learn to surf, Byron Bay is the place to do it. If you want to be close to the sea, forests, dolphins or enjoy a good party, listen to live music or  just chill, then Byron Bay is the place for you. It doesn’t get much better.

Lexis English Byron Bay

Lexis Byron Bay Campus is in the centre of Byron Bay.  Lexis is built on a large campus, with student accommodation onsite.  Students can take advantage of the excellent facilities available, including a full commercial kitchen, a great ‘café style’ common area, and full shower/bathroom facilities (important after an early morning surf!).  Lunchtimes can be spent lazing out in the sun in the BBQ area, or working up a sweat on the volleyball court or 5-a-side football pitch.

Hundreds of our students have studied at Byron Bay. Many have also worked as demi-pairs. In ‘Lexis Workshop’, the school has an excellent jobs programme. The school offers a wide range of courses including the Cambridge exams FCE, CAE and the CPE. After school, you can go swimming, surfing, body–boarding, kayaking, diving, horse–back–riding, whale–watching, play beach volleyball, relax with a bit of yoga, make a didgeridoo or just go for a long walk on a beautiful beach and then have a nice cold beer at the Beach Hotel and watch the sun go down. Most students ride bicycles to school. The school is a 10-minute walk to the beach, shops and cafes.  With quality accommodation right downstairs, there’s no need for a car or even public transport.  Yes, it’s a good life in Byron Bay. A very good life.
