Our courses for mature students will bolster your well-being and your English. They offer a relaxed and comfortable mixture of learning and discovery with a people of a similar age from all over the world. They are good for mind, body and soul for many reasons…

  • No stress - Courses are specifically designed for mature learners, avoiding the fast pace or youthful focus of typical student classes. Relax, you are learning at your pace, and for maximum pleasure.
  • Boost your confidence - Your confidence in English will open doors. It will help with travelling and communicating with friends overseas or with extended family. Many over-50s say that learning English gives them a real sense of achievement.
  • Meet people from all over the world - You will study alongside peers of a similar age, making it easier to connect and share experiences. Many people form friendships that continue long after the course has ended.
  • Experience a place differently - When you learn a language abroad, you’re not just a in-and-out tourist. You become part of the local way of life. You’ll get to know the culture through everyday experiences, take part in guided visits, and see the destinations from a more authentic perspective.

Elisabeth from Switzerland had this to say about her experience in Torquay on the UK coast:

I loved the course, the lunches and the trips. Everything. The atmosphere at the school is so that you feel very quick connected to other students and to the school. It is really familiar feeling here! I had two wonderful weeks here and I want to say thank you to everybody, to the teacher Margaret and the other students I met at lunch. the guides, to my host, to the staff at the reception. You all made that and a wonderful time here. Maybe I will come back in a few years for another stay.
