Calgary

Calgary is a prosperous and comfortable city in the province of Alberta. It’s Canada’s third biggest city with a population of 1.25 million.

Calgary is best known as host of the biggest party in Canada—the Calgary Stampede. It’s a fabulous rodeo that celebrates cowboys and cowgirls and best of the Wild West in the 21st century. Everyone in town puts on a cowboy hat. You can see bucking broncos, cattle wrestling and wagon races.

Calgary has a country and western feel with a touch of hipster. Calgarians are confident people and proud of their city. The city has some funky and original bakeries, breweries and cafes. It’s a great destination if you want to explore the ‘real’ down-to-earth Canada. There is wild country to explore; mountains to be climbed, rivers to be canoed and slopes to ski down. World famous Banff in the majestic Rocky Mountains is only 90 minutes away.
