A summer language camp is much more than English lessons. It is a chance to grow in confidence, make international friends and discover a new culture. For many teenagers and young adults, a séjour linguistique is a first step towards independence and potential future study and work abroad.
English plus activities
Many teen courses combine English with sport or creative activities. Students generally study in the morning and take part in activities in the afternoon.
Options include:
- Multi activity programmes
- Tennis, football, rugby, volleyball, hockey and golf
- Horse riding
- Theatre, music and drama
- Coding, AI and STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematic) subjects
- And much more
For example, in Ireland we work with schools offering excellent programmes in Cork with rugby, golf, football, horse riding and STEAM options, and in Dublin for ages 16 to 19, including a STEM course. In England, Scotland and Wales, we also work with schools across the country offering a wide range of activities in wonderful locations.

Study in outstanding locations
One of our excellent partner schools based in Wimbledon organises junior and teen summer camps on beautiful traditional boarding school campuses with excellent sports and academic facilities. They will study and enjoy activities in safe and beautiful environments, ideal for young learners.

For something different, there is a teen summer camp in either New York, Toronto or London (for age 14-17) where lessons take place outdoors in exciting (and often famous!) locations around the cities. Students stay in a modern residence and explore the cities in the afternoons.
Academic and future focused courses
Some programmes are designed for ambitious students.
At one of our top schools in London, there is a highly regarded young adult course for future global leaders and entrepreneurs.
English summer courses for more mature students - 16-22 year-olds
For young adults looking for a little more independence, we also work with an excellent summer programme in New York for ages 18 to 22. Lessons take place outdoors in exciting locations across the city rather than in a traditional classroom, giving students the chance to practise their English while discovering famous parts of New York. Students stay together in a modern residence and enjoy organised activities and visits in the afternoons and evenings. It is a fantastic option for young adults who want a more mature atmosphere, international friendships and a real taste of life in one of the world’s most exciting cities.
We also offer a popular summer programme on the south coast of England for ages 16 to 22. Based in the seaside town of Eastbourne, this course combines English lessons with a lively social programme and a more independent young adult environment. Students can enjoy the beach, cafés, sports and excursions while improving their English with students from around the world. It is an ideal choice for older teenagers and young adults who would like a balance between structured learning, social life and greater independence before university or future travel abroad.
With another one of our partners in Cambridge, students can try university style subjects before applying to uni. This is a good way to explore interests and gain confidence in an academic setting before making important course decisions.
One of our favourite schools in Cambridge offers year-round courses for ages 14 and over, and we also work with a trusted school in Eastbourne with courses throughout the year.

Why choose a summer camp abroad?
A summer course helps students:
- Improve their English quickly through daily use
- Build confidence and independence
- Experience a new culture
- Make friends from around the world (that they often keep in touch with for life!)
- Discover possible future study or career paths
For many young people, it is a life changing experience. They return home more mature, motivated and open minded. And with improved English skills!
