Language coaching in Geneva

The Language House organises small group courses and private training in Geneva for professional people who need to develop their confidence and fluency in English. Our English for Lunch programme offers a convivial and real-life business lunch experience with your own individual trainer. Our clients include company directors, finance analysts, journalists, senior banking executives, communication directors, economists, artists and journalists.

English for Lunch is the most enjoyable and effective form of English training I have taken. I find it an excellent method to practice and perform in English and increase my language confidence and fluency. It is a space in my busy life to enjoy the richness and complexity of the English language and exchange ideas and discuss a wide range of subjects.

‘I would like to thank you again for the English training we had together. The aim for me was to improve my English and to feel more comfortable when I speak. This goal was fully completed. I have really appreciated the interactivity in the classroom with the role plays and way we approached different topics and subjects. You always found the right word to motivate us. You definitively focus on your students and you adapt your training according to their needs. You are definitively the best teacher I have ever had!’

– Valérie Touron, Head of Support & Logistique Banque Privée Espirito Santo

‘Most appreciated because I was able to practice my professional English. I enjoyed our enthusiastic discussions taken from news, politics, new trends and many other topics… The exercises that Garry proposed were also interesting and attractive. The fine selection of videos and articles created fascinating debates and great moments of laughter. Don't change anything to English for Lunch!’

– Jean-Marc Nauer, Head of Operations Banque Privée Espirito Santo

‘I am happy to recommend The Language House’s English for Lunch programme. I look forward with much pleasure to my English lessons each week. I am presently finishing my first contract of 10 lessons and I will continue with another 10 lessons.
Five reasons why English for Lunch works so well for me:

  1. Contact with my trainer Garry Littman is professional and easy.
  2. He understands my needs and how much time I have
  3. The format - English with a meal - is a wonderful and pleasurable way to develop my English confidence and fluency
  4. I receive emailed feedback after each lunch when I return to my office
  5. It is quality time for me, and at the same time my English communications skills are developing. This makes me very happy’.

– Bertrand Pasche, Director Multicuirs SA

- Laurence de Cecco Director Blossom communications and marketing

English for Lunch helps me use English with greater fluency and confidence. The courses are tailor-made and carefully oriented to my needs. The feedback from each lunch helps me to correct my mistakes and reinforces new language structures, vocabulary, idioms and expressions. The ‘real-life’ lunch environment is much more interesting and lively than a classroom.

- John Howells Executive Director UBS Private Banking
