For many Europeans New Zealand is paradise. It's dominated by sensational landscapes and populated by only 3.5 million generally friendly and relaxed people. It has magnificent beaches, lakes, mountains, glaciers, snow-filled slopes and fjords. It's one of the world's adventure playgrounds. New Zealanders (known as Kiwis) love their sport, especially rugby, cricket and sailing. The indigenous people, the Maoris, have a strong social and cultural presence in New Zealand life.

New Zealand has an excellent reputation for English training and is ideal for those with adventure in their heart in search of unspoilt nature. For the budget conscious New Zealand, like Australia, is ideal for long-term courses.

Auckland

Auckland is the largest city (population: one million) on the North Island. The average summer temperature is 25 and winter average is 14. It's a cosmopolitan city built around a harbour. Twenty per cent of the population are Maori and Polynesian. Our schools offer all the typical programmes including Cambridge exams as well as plenty of adventure activities. One of our Auckland schools is based at Auckland University of Technology.
